Hints:

1) Be patient. With computer programs in general, in the beginning there is a lot of work and few benefits. But in a short period of time, there are a lot of benefits and only a little bit of work. Check our Features discussion.

2) Be patient. You are working with a database and the first time you send information to the server it is a little bit slow. But, it does work better if you wait for your mouse pointer to return as an arrow instead of the hour-glass. Normally, the wait is a few seconds, but it may be over one minute and everything is still fine.

2) Use BACK for corrections. After you submit the data by clicking on GO or SUBMIT buttons the data is sent to the server. If you realize you made a mistake use the BACK command bringing back the previous pages that you sent (you can actually go BACK 10 or more screens). Correct the data and then SUBMIT it again. All subsequently SUBMITted pages will be fine.

3) Edit don't Delete. Deletions with web site databases are somewhat unpredictable. If possible just change the data. For example, suppose you entered the same player into the roster twice. Instead of deleting one of the entries it would be better to edit one of the entries and creating a new player. If you have to delete, go ahead and try. If it doesn't work let us know, we'll fix it.

4) Coaches Input versus Surfing. There is information you can view while in Coaches Input that the surfers without passwords cannot view. And the completeness and format of the data appears different to the surfers. So, after you are satisfied your data has been entered correctly, be sure to check your work. View the data as a surfer would. Correct if necessary.

5) Print. Your browser allows you to Print the information on the screen. The Roster, Statistics, Standings, etc. can be printed. Receive some benefits quickly by faxing information to newspapers, hand-outs to players, ....

5) Communicate. Let us know how you're doing. New things can be frustrating and confusing. Plus, this is a new web site and there is the real possibility that something may not work properly. You can call or fax, but email works best. Be sure that we have the email address that is best to reach you.

6) Have Fun. Let's not lose sight of what we are doing.
